So, we're off to the Southwest for the first time in the Fall. Something keeps pulling us out there, and we respond. As Craig Childs says, "Maybe it is a genetic splinter that I have, one that is necessary for the survival of the species. It says to a certain number of us, Go ... So I went." So we go.
We fly to Albuquerque this afternoon, then drive to Santa Fe, where we'll be for eight nights. Then back to Albuquerque for the Balloon Fiesta over the weekend of October 8. We'll end our trip in Cortez, CO, where it all began, at Kelly Place B&B (really more of a retreat center). I'll be blogging throughout the trip - maybe not every day, but most. See ya.
