So, who is John Robinson? I'm a Certified Business, Leadership and Life Coach. But for nearly 35 years, in what seems like a previous life, I was an engineer, line supervisor, project and program manager at NASA. As one of my coaching clients likes to say, I built cool stuff and launched it into space. And then it was time for a change - I could feel it in my bones but couldn't see what was in store for me. I was fortunate enough to get coaching at NASA, which broadened my view of what was possible in my life. Talk about Shift Happens! The effect on me was so powerful that I retired from NASA and went back to school to become a coach, culminating in being certified by The Coaches Training Institute (CTI) as a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach. I think I came to coaching from the best possible place - being coached into the possibilities for the rest of my life. Now, as a professional coach, I partner with people who are ready to open the door to what's possible in their career and in their life.
I'm a true lover of life, and long to experience as much of this amusement park as possible. This has led me to such endeavors as taking up ice hockey (playing, not watching) at the age of 40; kayaking at 50; snow tubing at 54; starting my own business at 56; going on a Vison Quest, starting a second business and teaching coaching at a local college at 59 (that was a very busy year!) - well, you get the picture. I love to travel, especially to places that feed my soul and spirit, like the Four Corners area of the southwest and the coast of Maine. I'm a published poet, writer and photographer. I'm a life-long Maryland resident, married 40 years (to the same wonderful woman), the father of a daughter and grandfather to a grandson and granddaughter (who was born on my birthday - now that's cool).
LIFE IS GOOD! VERY GOOD! JUST IMAGINE THE POSSIBILITIES!
Interests
I am a huge ice hockey fan (Go Caps!), Obviously, I love travel, and enjoy writing, teaching, and working with college students. My favorite author is Craig Childs (my favorite book of his is "House of Rain").
When are you heading to the SW this year? We'd love to cross paths! We were just at Kelly Place for a few days...had to leave because the Buddhists were having a silent retreat. Now heading for Bandelier.

Hey Cathy,
As you can tell from my post today, Marie and I are on our way out now. We arrive in Santa Fe on Sunday and will be staying there for all of May and June. We will be visiting Kelly Place for a few days in mid-May, hoping to kidnap Jerene and take her to the Crownpoint Rug Auction. Other than that, we'll be in Santa Fe for the rest of the time.
Take care,
John
